- If I connect the two ends of my river into a closed loop or lake, does it still score, and does it get longer?
- ANSWER
- It still scores — a River is any string of consecutive blue tokens — but closing the loop creates a shortcut, which shortens the shortest path between your best pair of ends and therefore lowers your score. There is no separate scoring for lakes or ponds.

- A Nature's Spirit card scores "for each group of 3 or more" and depicts the group as a specific triangular arrangement, leaving players unsure whether the printed shape is binding and whether overlapping groups score separately.
- RULING
- Only the number of contiguous tokens in a group matters — the shape and orientation shown on the card are illustrative. Overlapping or touching groups are not scored separately; a connected area scores once, for its largest qualifying group.
The pattern that earned the Spirit cube also scores for that Spiritcommunity high-engagement
- SITUATION
- A player completes a Nature's Spirit pattern and has no other qualifying groups on their board, and asks whether the qualifying pattern itself counts or only additional groups built elsewhere.
- RULING
- The qualifying pattern counts. The clear cube is only a reminder that the Spirit has been unlocked — once it is placed, every instance of the Spirit's scoring condition on your board counts at final scoring, including instances inside the pattern that unlocked it.
The solo end-game trigger matches the multiplayer triggercommunity high-engagement
- SITUATION
- In solo play there are no other players to finish the round, so it is unclear whether reaching 2 or fewer empty spaces grants one more turn.
- RULING
