  • Repeat deliveries to Kansas City or San Franciscodesigner
    CONTEXT
The rules allow delivering to Kansas City or San Francisco again after you already have a disc there; players were unsure whether the second delivery places another disc and pays out again.
    RULING
"Yes, you add a disc there and you get multiple reward/penalty."

  • Replacing the building your herder is standing ondesigner
    CONTEXT
A player stopped on his own building 5a, used its action to hire a builder, and the resulting immediate action let him replace that same 5a tile with a larger building while his herder was still on it.
    RULING
"Don't use the new building, but complete all actions of the replaced building."

  • Adding cattle with cowboys beyond the player-count maximumdesigner
    CONTEXT
In a 2-player game the cattle market already held 6 cards; a player asked whether cowboys could push it past the 7-card starting size, and whether adding and buying could be interleaved. The player-count maximum applies only to mandatory refills, not to optional cowboy additions.
    RULING
"You can use 1 cowboy to put 2 cattles into the market and then buy or put another 2 cattle in the market for another cowboy and then choose again etc."

  • Deliberately overpaying to deny an opponent a tolldesigner
    CONTEXT
Dollars received as a reward must be taken in full, so a player asked whether they could instead spend cash down — for example by hiring a costlier worker of the same type — to leave nothing available for an opponent's toll.
    RULING
"Yes. Nobody is forced to buy the cheapest worker of a kind."

Q&A3
  • Which disc you may take when you have none leftcommunity high-engagementlinked official source
    QUESTION
A player who has upgraded many train stations has no discs left on their player board and must place one when delivering. Can they pull back the −6 disc already sitting in Kansas City?
    ANSWER
No. The substitute disc must be removed from a train station of your choice. Discs already placed on city spaces can never be moved, so a disc in Kansas City or any other city is off limits.

  • Single versus double auxiliary actionscommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
Does "perform one single or one double auxiliary action" mean performing one auxiliary action twice, or performing two different auxiliary actions?
    ANSWER
It means performing one particular auxiliary action twice — never two different ones — and only if both of that action's disc spaces are cleared. With both spaces cleared you may still choose to perform it just once. A double draw-and-discard resolves as a block: draw 2, then discard 2, rather than drawing and discarding one at a time to see the result before committing.

  • Upgrading a station without promoting a station mastercommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
The rules say that if you forfeit the chance at a station master tile you cannot get it later. Can you come back to that station on a future pass and take it then?
    ANSWER
Only if you left the station untouched. Placing a disc is upgrading the station, and promoting a station master is available only at that same moment. If you stop at a station and decline to place a disc, you may return later with the same options; if you place a disc but skip the promotion, returning does not help, because each station can only be upgraded once.

EDGE CASES2
  • Kansas City as the only legal delivery citydesigner
    SITUATION
Delivery requires choosing a city and placing a disc, but every city the player could reach is already covered except Kansas City, whose space costs −6 victory points.
    RULING
You must still deliver to Kansas City and take the penalty. Placing the disc is mandatory, and the designer confirmed the squeeze is intentional: "Yes! It should put some pressure on you."

  • Objective-card movement after using a locationcommunity high-engagementlinked official source
    SITUATION
A player standing on a building performs one of its phase B actions, then plays an objective card whose immediate action moves the herder — while the building still has a second action available.
    RULING
Phase B ends. Once the herder reaches the new location you carry out phase C directly, and any remaining actions at the original building are forfeited.

Not an AI guessing rules. A curated archive.

Every answer Mira gives is grounded in an official rulebook — not in what a language model thinks the rules probably say. Our team reads, structures, and curates each game's rulebook before Mira can answer a single question about it.
