Disarm and negative conditions nested under an Attackdesignerpublisher
- CONTEXT
- Some monster ability cards show a negative condition (e.g. MUDDLE) in a smaller font nested beneath an Attack. Players were unsure whether a Disarmed monster still inflicts that condition.
- RULING
- "Yes, if it is nested with a smaller font, it is part of the attack and not applied if the monster is disarmed." A condition listed on its own line (not nested under an Attack) is a separate ability and is unaffected by Disarm, since Disarm prevents only Attack abilities.

Q&A5
Which monsters benefit when a monster type consumes an elementlinked official sourcecommunity high-engagement
- QUESTION
- When a monster type consumes an element due to its ability card, does only the first monster that acts gain the effect, or all monsters of that type?
- ANSWER
- The element is consumed only once, but all monsters of that type gain the benefit that round. The consumption happens a single time for the whole group, not once per monster.

- QUESTION
- If an enemy is Stunned, does it still deal Retaliate damage?
- ANSWER
- Retaliate printed on a monster's stat card is a passive effect that applies even while the monster is Stunned. Retaliate granted by an ability card only applies if that ability was already active before the monster was Stunned (Stun prevents it from performing the action that turn).
Does Immobilize prevent a figure from being pushed or pulledcommunity high-engagement
- QUESTION
- Does the Immobilize condition stop a figure from being pushed or pulled?
- ANSWER
- No. Immobilize only prevents a figure from moving of its own free will. Forced movement (push and pull) still applies normally to an Immobilized figure.
Line of sight and the thickness of wallscommunity high-engagement
- QUESTION
- For line-of-sight purposes, are walls the infinitely thin line between tiles, or the thicker printed wall graphic?
- ANSWER
- Line of sight is traced from any part of one hex to any part of another. Walls are treated as the infinitely thin lines between separate map tiles and block line of sight; only doors and corridor overlay tiles connect adjacent tiles. The printed thickness of the wall art does not change whether line of sight exists.

- QUESTION
- The rulebook defines an ally as "any figure that fights with a character" — what does that include in practice?
- ANSWER
- An ally is any figure on your side during a scenario. For a character this includes the other characters, that character's summons, and any NPCs or monsters made friendly by scenario rules or ability cards. Monsters are normally allies to one another. Because the game is cooperative, characters are never enemies of one another.

EDGE CASES1
A figure standing on a door overlaylinked official source
- SITUATION
- A figure is standing on an open door overlay tile, and an ability references the room the figure is in (e.g. a level 9 Spellweaver card).
- RULING
- The figure is considered to be in neither room (zero rooms), per the official FAQ. It is not in both adjacent rooms.
