    RULING
The symbols on hacking terminals are not explained in the base rulebook. Per the official Dire Wolf FAQ: ★ Clank! = add Clank! cubes to the Clank! area equal to the number of icons shown; Credits = take the credits shown; Healing = heal damage equal to the number of hearts shown; Power Crystal = take a Power Crystal; Skill = generate the Skill shown (wasted if unspent this turn); Swords = generate the Swords shown (wasted if unspent this turn). • Getting trapped inside the ship without an escape route is intentionaldesigner
    CONTEXT
A player can be stranded near an escape pod that has been taken, with no path to any other pod and no teleport card. The question was whether this is a rules edge case or intended design.
    RULING
"It is possible. And it is intended."

  • Dark Jidu forces opponents to discard from their current handdesigner

When Dark Jidu is defeated, each opponent must discard a card. The question was whether this applies to cards in hand (i.e., cards they have drawn but not yet played) or some other zone.
    RULING
"It's not in their favor. They'll have one less card to play during their turn."

If a player must discard a card due to Dark Jidu but hasn't drawn their new hand yet, clarification was needed on when exactly the hand is drawn.
    RULING

Q&A5
  • Teleporting does not cause dizziness; entering a checkpoint by any means stops Boots usecommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
If you use a card ability to teleport directly into a security checkpoint, do you become dizzy and lose all remaining movement?
    ANSWER
No — card-based teleportation does not cause dizziness, so you can still use Boots and other movement after teleporting. However, entering a security checkpoint by any means (including teleport) prevents you from spending any Boots for the rest of that turn. (Rulebook, page 10: "Unlike when using the Telepad or Hyperlift, teleporting does not leave you dizzy—you can keep moving after a teleport. Remember, however, that on the turn you enter a security checkpoint (by any means), you can't use any Boots for the rest of the turn.")

  • Lord Eradikus attacks only once per Adventure Row refill regardless of Boss Attack symbol countcommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
If multiple cards drawn to refill the Adventure Row each show a Boss Attack symbol, does Lord Eradikus attack multiple times?
    ANSWER
No. Lord Eradikus attacks exactly once per refill, regardless of how many Boss Attack symbols appear on the drawn cards. (Rulebook, page 8: "If any of the cards drawn have a Boss Attack symbol, Lord Eradikus attacks! (But only once, no matter how many Boss Attack symbols were revealed.)")

  • Running out of Clank cubes prevents choosing to take damage to move through enemiescommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
If a player has remaining health points but no Clank cubes left in their personal supply, can they still move through enemy spaces by taking damage?
    ANSWER
No. A player with no Clank cubes remaining cannot choose to take damage to pass through enemies — those spaces are blocked. Remaining health is irrelevant if there are no cubes to place. (Rulebook, page 10: "If you ever run out of cubes in your personal supply, then you can't choose to take damage while moving through enemies on the board.")

  • One faction icon activates all matching faction abilities in play, not just onecommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
Does a faction icon on one card activate only a single other card with a matching faction ability, or all of them?
    ANSWER
One faction icon activates all other cards currently in your play area that have a matching faction ability trigger — not just one. However, each individual card's faction ability can only be activated once per turn, regardless of how many matching faction icons are in play.

  • Reshuffle your discard pile into a new draw deck when you need to draw and your deck is emptycommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
At what point do you shuffle your discard pile back into a new draw deck?
    ANSWER
Whenever you need to draw a card and your personal draw deck is empty, immediately shuffle your discard pile face-down to form a new draw deck, then draw. (Rulebook, page 4: "Whenever you need to draw a card and find your deck empty, shuffle your discard pile and turn it face down to form a new deck.")
