  • Trade card actions can be repeated multiple times in one turndesigner
    CONTEXT
A player asked whether the action on a trade card (e.g., trading 4 yellow for green and brown) could be executed more than once in the same turn if they had the resources.
    RULING
"You can do the trade action as many times as you have the resources for it. And doing so efficiently is often the key to winning."

  • Only one Golem card may be claimed per turndesigner
    CONTEXT
Player asked whether multiple Golem point cards could be claimed in a single turn if resources for all of them were available.
    RULING
"On your turn you can claim 'a' point card. Not any number of them." (Designer cited Spice Road rules, which community confirmed match the Golem Edition wording identically.)

Q&A1
  • Upgrade 2 card: two steps can be split freely across any crystalscommunity high-engagement
    QUESTION
When playing an Upgrade 2 card, can the two upgrade steps be applied to two different crystals of any color (e.g., yellow→green for one crystal and turquoise→magenta for another, in the same turn)?
    ANSWER
Yes. The rulebook states: "When playing an 'Upgrade 2' card, you MAY upgrade a crystal on your caravan 1 level and then upgrade a crystal 1 level again. It is not mandatory to upgrade all crystals from an Upgrade card." Each step can target any crystal independently — both steps on one gem, split across two different gems, or using fewer than the full two steps available.
